3/31 Women serial killers

Doing some research into women serial killers according to this wiki page I found, 58 serial killers that are women only 9 of them had been executed. Why are women different then male serial killers? Why do we treat women different no matter the circumstance?

Female Mass Killers: Why They're So Rare | Live Science

According to the article above women are less likely to be homicidal compared to men. Women serial killers are so rare that there isn't enough cases to study to find out additional information.

I want to look into why they end up being so rare but even the ones that are killers why we never see them like we do Ted Bundy, or any of the other famous male killers.

What is the definitions in other cultures of a serial killer? 3/29

The true definition of a serial killer is typically a person who murders three or more persons, with the murders taking place over more than a month and including a significant period of time between them. While most authorities set a threshold of three murders,[1] others extend it to four or lessen it to two.

We don't see many other definitions of the word serial killer but we do however don't talk about them from different areas. Like the United Kingdom has some famous killers that we don't know about over in the US nor do we talk about them.

March 26 blog

So I used google scholar to dig deeper into female serial killers an what makes them so rare and hard to find and why we don't see them often. But I do still read the book that I told you about and so far it opens up my mind to more than just serial killers but I still love looking into murders and everything else. I also want to know why alot of us like the idea of them and why we all enjoy them in documentaries.

March 24 Blog

I got to thinking about females and how the world looks at the outer apperance. Women are to kind or not seen as a threat. So the question I had was why do we think women can't do things men can? And not just with killing but with anything. Women can't be a mechanic but when they do its against the normal. Why must women only be seen as the housewife and not something more?

March 22 Blog

So as my husband and I started a project for my kiddos and all I could think of is "I want to murder him" only because he wasn't listening to me and why his way wouldn't work. So looking at my research and I could hide his body an possibly get away with it as long as I don't make the same mistake as they did.

Identifying Questions

Looking at my post and my question of "Why Murders Kill?" and "Why Do We Like them?"

The type of people who I believe would have similar questions and look into the same topic would be, possible other college students and they may ask "Why is this a common thing in young people?"

I could see neurologist wanting to look into it to see if it is something that we can identify in the brain. maybe see if it's a chemical inside.

Detectives might look more in depth to try and understand why it happens so much, and why even after researching older cases why people still murder for fun or even why some feel compelled to do it.

Having a wide question and wanting to understand both makes it very interesting why so many people look into murders and serial killers. I can see other moms and women mostly finding these topics very interesting.

Why do I like murders and thing's like that?

So, I got to thinking. I haven't explained why I like murders and why I want to do this blog. It started out when I met my best friend "Coco". We met in middle school and bonded over her telling me to "screw off" at first. We realized after starting to "hate" each other that we liked to pick on each other. I think with both of us growing up in different house situations but still having the same personality helped when we discovered we both liked shows about murders and even some of the law and orders mostly SVU. Since being little I have really liked the idea of helping people and at first wanted to be a case worker. My best friend wanted to be a cop. We enjoyed watching documentaries and other shows that would fuel our dream of what we wanted to be. Will now we are in our late 20's and still talk and text about the new movies and books we have read that go with murder.

Currently we are reading "True stories of law and order: SVU". I haven't read a lot of it yet we just started it, but it is very crazy to think that we have people in our world that do murder and other crimes. As me personally knowing a couple victims of things it puts wanting to learn about "why" and "how" could people want to murder?

Looking at the percentages of murders

Upon reading the book "The Will to Kill, making sense of senseless murder." Written by James Alan Fox, Jack Levin, and Kenna Quinet, in chapter two titled "The killers and their victims." I read that although most shows like "Supernatural" starring Jensen Ackels and Jared Padalecki, the rate of most murders in America are relatively low from about 2000 to 2015.

2000 roughly almost 600,000 and lower in 2015
Looking further into the chapter it talks about how a different race can be a factor in most murders killings. Looking at the chart in the chapter is says that almost 50% of white race are victims with a  percentage of almost 44% as the offenders. Their also is a high rate of males as victims but they are also the higher rate for the offender. Why is males more likely to kill or be the victims? Could it be male jealousy? Why are women such a low precent of 22% of victims and only 9% of offenders?
Also looking at the chart most killers ages are around 18-34. Why is this such a high percentage for offenders to be this age?

Look into this book for more information.

Looking at the Walking Dead series

Hey so I got to thinking while watching "The walking dead" series that Rick one of the main characters is okay with murder because he thinks that it is either them die or they strike first. Looking at this and comparing to other murders who do it just because or feel the same way. how do we know what justifies as self-defense or the right thing to do? Rick wants to kill the "saviors" which is a group led by Neagan but the thing is Neagan doesn't know they exist so do most murders think like this?

Upon doing a little research an asking my husband and best friend why we all enjoy shows like this or why watching documentaries are fascinating is that we all answered the same way...... because we think learning something like this and understanding it is something everyone look at. We also enjoy the mystery on why they do what they do.

Murders and why I like them

After reading a few articles and talking to my friend about our share interest I decided to buy a book called "True Stories from law an order svu". I choose to do this topic for the start of my research of blog because I have a weird fascination with death and why people murder. I also want to know why people like me and my friend Becca like murders an everything that has to do with them.

MURDER WHY DO WE LIKE IT AN ARE SO FASINATIED AND WHY DO PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE IN THEIR CLOSE CIRCLE?

Why do murders like to kill? Or why do they kill? What needs does it make for them?

How can some murders have a sense of a “normal” life? What makes them feel the need to murder?

Why do men murder their partners or loved ones? Why do women?

Why can people be “normal” one day and then go into a fit of rage an fixate on the want to kill?

How can we find killers before they kill? Why do shows get more reviews if they are about murders?

What makes murders more famous than other small-town murders?

Do people with bad backgrounds become more likely to kill?

These are some of the questions I find myself asking, even ones i asked my friend.
